The Health and Beauty Benefits of Mint Tea

Peppermint Tea has wonderful benefits for healing the body. I personally love the smell of it and the relaxing moment it creates as you enjoy a cup with a great book or some music. The aroma therapy isn’t the only thing that people have found beneficial about this lovely leaf so brew yourself up a cup and sit back as you read about what this fragrant tea can do for you.

1. Stress Relief

Peppermint tea has menthol that is naturally present in the tea relaxing the muscles and melting stress away from your body. It’s also a wonderful way to help you fall asleep.  Not only that but drinking a cup before bed time is a great way to get a more restful sleep.

2. Sinus

Warm liquids clear your sinuses but peppermint is a natural decongestant. If you have allergies or a cold, this is a terrific tea to help clear and soothe your sinuses.

3. Weight Loss

A mixture of peppermint and green tea can help curb your appetite so you won’t snack through the day. It also speeds up your metabolism to help you shed those extra pounds. I like to drink a cup before eating and during the day instead of reaching for sugar snacks. Pair it with an apple or celery for a much healthier alternative.

4. Skin-Clearing

Not only does peppermint tea help soothe burns and rashes when you add it to your bath water, you can calm down acne and hormonal imbalances by drinking it. Peppermint tea offers a slight boost in estrogen for some woman which aids in clearing up acne.

5. Stomach Problems

Cure your bloating problems with this healing tea. Peppermint tea aids in digestion, IBS and other stomach issues. Plus it helps freshen your breath from the core of the problem.

How to brew:
