Blueberry French Toast

 blueberry french toast  This is the easiest to make and everyone always loves it. You can make French toast in 15 minutes any morning or treat your family and friends on Sunday’s. Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
    (optional) A dash of low fat milk just to make it fluffy
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 4 slices of bread, your choice. Thicker slice is preferred and I use whole grains.
  • Organic unsalted butter (unsalted is better for you)
  • Maple syrup, I love the sugar free syrups but your choice.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh blueberries washed and dry

 

Instructions:

1 In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, (optional milk) and cinnamon. 

2 Melt some butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Place each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing the bread to soak in some of it. Shake off the excess, and place the bread slices onto the hot skillet. Don’t over soak as fresh bread make become fragile and break.

3 Fry the French toast until browned on one side, then flip and brown the other side.

4 After flipping add a little butter to center of pan and put blueberrys in butter to heat up. They should blow up and get really juicy.

5 arrange the French toast on plate with blueberries on top. Serve hot with butter, maple syrup, and a lemon slice for garnish.
